What is Textmolt?
An AI sidebar for Microsoft Word on Windows. It rewrites and translates text where it stands, works with your Zotero library to cite, read and research, and writes the results back into your document.
What do I need to run it?
Microsoft Word on Windows: Microsoft 365, Office 2021 or later, or Office 2019 Retail. The Zotero features also need Zotero 7 on the same PC and the Viamolt companion app. Word for Mac and WPS Office aren't supported yet.
How do I get access?
Textmolt is invite-only right now, and creating an account takes an invite code. Join the waitlist on this page: invites go to the list first, and the account you create with one gets a Pro trial.
Do I need my own AI key?
For now, yes: AI requests run through an API key you add — DeepSeek on Free, more providers on Pro. Textmolt-provided models, paid with credits, open together with paid plans.
What happens to my text?
When you send a request, your question and the context you chose — a selection, the document, attached text or library material — go through our gateway to the AI provider. Conversations, summaries and memory are stored on our servers, and adding a full document stores its text for indexing. Textmolt doesn't use your documents to train models. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Will it invent citations?
Research answers cite items from your library. A citation that can't be matched to a real item is marked unverified and can't be inserted into your document. AI output is still for reference — check claims against the source.
Which citation styles are supported?
APA, MLA, Chicago (notes), IEEE, and GB/T 7714-2015 in numeric and author–date forms. The GB/T styles need a recent version of Viamolt.
How much will it cost?
There is a free plan today. Pro and credit top-ups aren't on sale yet; their prices will be on this page when paid plans open.
Can I get a refund?
If you haven't used any paid feature, you can request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase. Using a paid feature — through Textmolt's servers, locally, or with your own API key — ends that 24-hour refund for unused service. Statutory rights always remain, including the 14-day withdrawal right for consumers in the EEA and the UK, charged proportionately for what was used. The Refund Policy has the exact terms.
